Forensic Photographer
The BAE Systems Joint Expeditionary Forensics Program is seeking a qualified applicant to come aboard as a Forensic Photographer (#10027007) to perform specialized technical work in the field of digital photography and latent print examination to support forensic science efforts. Position entails deployment to Iraq in support of theatre operations.
Closing Date: Open until filled (posted 02/15/10)
Nature of Work: Responsibilities include photographing evidence utilizing an ALS and latent prints on various backgrounds/surfaces; utilizing Digital Darkroom software to digitally enhance latent print images; photographing various pieces of evidence, processed latent prints, hairs, fibers, and serial numbers on evidence; processing latent prints using standard chemical methods during times of high laboratory throughput; preparing detailed reports on activity performed; maintaining and documenting the chain of custody of evidence; training less experienced employees in the area of forensic photography and latent print processing and other duties as assigned. During this time, substantial amounts of additional compensation will be added to base salary. Please inquire for additional details.
Requirements: Proficient with a digital camera; experience in photographing latent prints. Able to obtain/maintain an active secret level clearance. Willing to deploy up to 10-11 months of the year (3-6 month rotations). Formal education and/or experience in forensic photography. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 4 years; an Associate's degree and 6 years; or high school diploma coupled with 8 years of experience working in the areas of forensic photography, digital imaging and/or latent print examination. Certification through the International Association for Identification (IAI) or Evidence Photographers International Council (EPIC).

Latent Print Examiner
The BAE Systems Joint Expeditionary Forensics Program is seeking a qualified applicant to come aboard as an experienced Latent Print Examiner (#10026345)to perform specialized technical work in the field of latent print examination in deployed forensic facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Closing Date: Open until filled (posted 02/15/10)
Nature of Work: Responsibilities include processing porous and non-porous items in order to develop latent print impressions; performing comparison of latent print impressions to known standards requiring the highest skill level; reviewing the work performed by lower level latent print examiners and other laboratory personnel; preparing reports detailing the results of examinations conducted; utilizing software applications for the processing of digital images. During time of deployment, substantial amounts of additional compensation will be added to base salary, and lodging and food will be provided. Please inquire for additional details.
Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree coupled with at least 4 years of experience; an Associate's degree coupled with 6 years of related experience; or a high school diploma coupled with 8 years of related experience. A minimum of 2 years experience must be in a law enforcement or forensic environment processing and comparing latent prints. Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. Eligible for Latent Print Examiner Certification by the International Association for Identification (IAI) or other comparable certification level. Experience utilizing imaging software to process digital images of latent print impressions. Supervisory and/or training experience. Able to deploy overseas for 6 month to 1 year rotations. Meet contractual requirements associated with the Minimal Standard of Fitness for Deployment.

Latent Print Examiner
Six3 Systems, formerly known as "Harding Security Associates", is actively seeking experienced Latent Print Examiners, as well as, Certified Latent Print Examiners to perform specialized technical work in the field of latent print examination as we continue to provide support to the DoD Community.
Closing Date: Open until filled (posted 02/07/10)
Salary: Earn up to $165,000 in your first year
Nature of Work: Assessing materials or latent prints of value to determine the best methodology for developing, enhancing and preserving latent prints, as well as evaluating and comparing known and latent prints to determine positive identification or non-identification of the friction ridge detail. Candidates can expect additional opportunities such as: Identify and label latent prints of value on evidence to be photographed, Train DoD personnel in the area of latent prints, Maintain and document the chain of custody of evidence, Collect and preserve possible DNA evidence.
Requirements: Prefer Professional Certification by the International Association For Identification (IAI) coupled with a minimum of three years of recent experience performing technical and analytical tasks in the documentation, collection, preservation, and processing of latent prints. A Minimum of 80 hours of formal, structured training in latent print matters is necessary, while knowledge of AFIS database operations and exposure to Universal Latent Workstation (ULW) preferred but not required. Qualified individuals must be physically able and willing to rotationally deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan for a minimum of six months per year. Additional compensation is offered during deployments.
